Esterification produces a nonionic detergent consisting of a mixture of sucrose or a simple substance. Esterification is possible because sucrose has 8 --OH groups. This allows for the formation of all types of products ranging from a simple ester to an octyl ester. It can be divided into mono-fatty esters, fatty esters, and even try fatty esters. Sucrose-OH group is used for the hydrophilic part, and fatty acid carbon chains are used for the hydrophilic part. Commonly, high fatty acids such as stearic, oleic, palmitic and other acids (powders) but also low fatty, such as acetic and isobutyric acids, can be found in viscous resins. The non-toxic material is also easily biodegradable and has good surface properties.
